This is an easy way to add a daily countdown of days to a special event. Put it anywhere in your website that accepts shortcodes. The day count will change at midnight according to the time zone your website is set for.
Use the calendar dropdown to designate the big day.
You can type what you might want this shortcode to say before the date and/or after the date.
Type text that appears (instead of the number) the day before the date (i.e. “The big day is tomorrow!”).
Type what it will say on the day of the event (i.e. “WEDDING DAY”).
Finally, choose the font you want this to appear in. Use a headline font for a header. Use normal, bold, or italic if you want the date to appear embedded in a sentence or paragraph.
Just put the shortcode where you want it to appear. Done.

Pag-install

  1. Download and Activate the plugin.
  2. The settings page link is on the left vertical menu, as “MC Event Countdown” under “Settings.” Click on that link.
  3. On the plugin’s settings page: a. Choose the date of the event with the dropdown calendar event picker. b. Type in any text you want to appear before the number of days to the event. c. Type in any text you want to appear after the number of days to the event. d. Type in the text you want to appear the day before the event, i.e. “The Wedding will be TOMORROW!”. e. Type in the text you want to appear the day of the event, i.e. “Today is THE DAY”. f. Choose the font you want this text and number to appear in – appropriate for a headline, or use in the body of your text.
  4. Click on “Save Changes”.
  5. Add the shortcode [mc_event_countdown] to any page, sidebar, or the footer of your website. It can be a stand-alone headline, or it can be incorporated directly into your text.

  • Nothing – it just disappears.
