Currently supported market: Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). Leanmerce Commerce Assistant provides guided setup checks, consumer-information guidance and PDF order confirmations for WooCommerce merchants operating under the supported BiH legal framework. The current ruleset includes jurisdiction-specific guidance for the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republika Srpska and Brčko District where implemented. Legal rulesets for other countries are not included. The plugin helps merchants review and document selected requirements; it does not certify or guarantee legal compliance.

The Free plugin is useful on its own. It includes:
- a seven-step setup and BiH-oriented audit;
- a Basic PDF order confirmation with separate SKU, quantity and price columns;
- a private original-confirmation archive and mail-submission status;
- attachment to one selected, enabled WooCommerce customer order email;
- authenticated access to an existing archived original in My Account;
- current order printouts and original-document controls in order administration;
- a shared admin workspace, included BS/HR/SR-Latin/EN copy and privacy-safe diagnostics;
- shared Core contracts used by separately installed add-ons.
The Basic PDF is an order confirmation only. It is not a distance-sales contract, fiscal receipt, compliance certificate, or proof that a store complies with applicable law.
Free and separate Pro
Free requires no paid license. A separately distributed Pro add-on can add contract/evidence workflows and authorized advanced PDF integrations. Pro contracts, Template Studio, theme-font preparation, fiscal/ERP REST services and advanced field configuration are not standalone Free features. Pro is not bundled, hidden or license-locked inside this Free package. Core interoperability code does not grant a Pro entitlement.
PDF and email behavior
Enable Basic PDF in Setup and select an eligible existing customer email. WooCommerce must actually send that enabled email; choosing Completed order does not make an On hold order complete. Gateways and custom emails can behave differently.
The archived original preserves recorded facts; a current printout is separate. Accepted or uncertain submissions are not blindly repeated. Eligible failed submissions can use the order’s document controls. Submission is not proof of inbox delivery.
Orders without an archived original, including older orders, are not silently reconstructed as historical originals. My Account offers the existing archived original only. See the included docs/FREE-USER-GUIDE.md for statuses and troubleshooting.
Requirements and compatibility
Requires WordPress 6.9+, PHP 8.3+ and active WooCommerce 10.8+. Runtime tests cover WordPress 7.1.3/WooCommerce 11.1.2, HPOS/legacy and Classic/Blocks. PHP lint/unit checks also cover PHP 8.3. Not every older combination was retested.
Privacy
The Free plugin does not send telemetry, analytics, merchant data, customer data, or license checks to Leanmerce servers. It does not install executable code from external servers. The built-in PDF renderer does not fetch remote resources.
Original confirmations and submission metadata are stored locally; the configured WordPress/WooCommerce mail transport delivers the selected email. Explicit Support links open the chosen support channel; they do not automatically upload diagnostics or order data. Diagnostics exports intentionally exclude customer/merchant PII, document contents, Terms contents, secrets, and license credentials by default. Review any file before voluntarily sharing it.

- Install and activate WooCommerce.
- Install and activate Leanmerce Commerce Assistant.
- Open Leanmerce > Commerce Assistant, then Setup (the label follows the selected plugin admin language).
- Complete the setup steps, run the audit and address its findings. Confirm setup completion when available.
- Enable Basic PDF and choose the appropriate enabled customer order email if PDF confirmations are wanted.
An update from the same leanmerce-commerce-assistant 0.12.7 plugin is an in-place update. Back up the database and private document storage first. Version 0.12.8 adds archive/submission tables; it does not uninstall the plugin, clear settings or regenerate historical documents. Earlier commerce-assistant or leanmerce-commerce-compliance folder transitions are different procedures; see MIGRATION.txt. Do not activate multiple Free identities.

Is this a legal-compliance guarantee or legal advice?

No. Audit statuses are technical checks based on the supported BiH ruleset and supplied settings. Review warnings and blockers; a passing check is not certification or a substitute for legal review.

Does Free need Pro or a paid license?

No. Setup, audit, Basic PDF and existing Free document access work without Pro. Advanced integrations and contract production require the separately installed compatible Pro add-on.

Why is there no PDF in an email or My Account?

Check that Basic PDF is enabled, the selected customer email is enabled and was actually triggered, and an original exists. Use the order’s Documents panel for preparation/submission status. A current printout is not an archived original. No original is fabricated for an old order just by viewing it.

Can I safely resend an original?

Use the eligible confirmed document action, not repeated status changes. Already accepted or uncertain submissions are not automatically resent. An uncertain transport outcome must be investigated before another attempt. A recorded submission does not prove receipt or opening.

Which language setting changes the customer interface?

Included BS/HR/SR-Latin/EN catalogues control admin/PDF copy. My Account document labels follow the archived document language (or order-document language if no archive); generic endpoint/WordPress messages use gettext and the customer/site locale. Admin preference is not a frontend language switch. Included catalogues are not published WordPress.org language packs or translated directory pages. See languages/README.md.

Does the plugin send data to Leanmerce?

Not automatically from Free core. Support requests and any files you choose to share are deliberate actions. Do not send passwords, license keys or customer data. Separate add-ons and your mail provider have their own behavior.

Where are the Free source, build instructions and developer contracts?

Readable runtime sources are included; no Composer, Node or compilation is needed. See BUILD-SOURCE.txt, docs/FREE-DEVELOPER-INTEGRATION.md and docs/PDF-EXTENSION-DEVELOPER-API.md. Advanced execution is Pro-only. The builder is outside the installed plugin.

Open Support in the plugin workspace to choose the existing Leanmerce support channels. Diagnostics are not uploaded automatically. Describe the versions, selected email and document status without sharing private customer data or credentials.
