Before an enabled plugin is updated, Revertiva Updates creates a Safe Update backup and validates that backup. After the update, it verifies the installed version and preserves the plugin’s activation state. If the update or post-update validation fails, Automatic Recovery can restore the previous backup. Features: * Choose exactly which installed plugins may update automatically. * Run updates manually or on a scheduled interval. * Create a Safe Update backup before an update begins. * Validate backup structure, metadata, source size, and available disk space. * Verify the installed plugin version after an update. * Preserve active/inactive plugin state. * Automatically recover from supported update failures. * Roll back manually to an available Safe Update backup. * Keep the newest backups with automatic retention. * Prevent overlapping update and rollback operations with an operation lock. * Review update, recovery, activation, rollback, and backup events in Update Logs. * Protect Revertiva Updates from updating or rolling back itself through its own update engine. [[ [[ ## Pag-install 1. Install Revertiva Updates from Plugins > Add New, or upload the plugin ZIP manually. 2. Activate Revertiva Updates. 3. Open Smart Updater > Dashboard in wp-admin. 4. Enable Auto Update only for the plugins you want Revertiva Updates to manage. 5. Select an update interval and save the settings. 6. Use Run Update Check Now if you want to test the update workflow immediately. ## FAQ ### Does Revertiva Updates update every installed plugin automatically? No. Automatic updates are opt-in per plugin. Only plugins enabled in the Revertiva Updates dashboard are processed by its update engine. ### What happens before a plugin is updated? The plugin creates and validates a Safe Update backup. If backup creation or validation fails, the update is aborted before the WordPress plugin upgrader is started. ### What happens if an update fails? When a valid pre-update backup exists, Revertiva Updates can run Automatic Recovery and restore the previous plugin version. Recovery results are recorded in Update Logs. ### Can I roll a plugin back manually? Yes. Available Safe Update backups can be managed from Smart Updater > Backups. ### How many backups are retained? The current retention policy keeps the three newest Safe Update backups per plugin. ### Does this plugin send site data to an external service? No. The current release does not require an external service and does not include telemetry or usage tracking. ### Can Revertiva Updates update itself? No. The plugin deliberately excludes itself from its own automatic update, backup, and rollback workflow.
