If not for emails received from Beatrice, configuring this app to do more than the basics was very time consuming and frustrating. For simple installation the documentation is find, but if you want to restrict downloads, send emails with more than just the IP address, and restrict users to only be able to download one copy of a file, the available documentation was inadequate. That said, Beatrice's explanations (via email) are VERY helpful and made it possible to get this app set up to do what was needed. It would be great if she re-wrote the documentation for this app!

We were looking for a plugin that could help with the downloading of a few GPX files and thought this looked simple enough. We have now used it for a few weeks and, yes, it was easy to setup and does everything we need it to do and much more. It turned out to be a good solution for us.

I've been using Download Monitor on one site for using with Email Before Download plugin (their recommendation) and have now got it on another site where I wanted downloadable links for my eBook and this is doing a great job. With the dashboard widget I can see how many downloads the eBook links I'm getting. A good way to see estimate of how many eBooks have been purchased as Amazon does not show that detail. A great tool, thankyou
