This add-on plugin for bbPress will allow anonymous users to subscribe to topics and get email notifications when a new reply is posted. The notification email includes an unsubscribe link.

bbPress notifications will keep to go out to registered users, this plugin only extends the thing to anonymous posters as well!

Available in English, Italian, German, Norwegian, Ebrew, Serbian.

  1. Activate the plugin.
  2. A new “Notify me of follow-up replies via email” checkbox will be available in the reply form for anonymous users.

I spent the day trying to find a solution and just got it through this great plugin.

If you have open bbPress forums and need email notifications, this plugin is a lifesaver. bbPress should have this functionality built-in, but because it does not, use this plugin. All it does is adds a “subscribe” button for guest posters in your forums. It works great.
